Summer 1999: RedHawkMan wasn't born yet, as Daniel F. walked through his hometown, going to visit his friends. He came to a police barricade on the streets. Some bank robbers captured a few hostages, because their coup went totally out of control, the police was arriving faster as they planned. After hours and hours of bargaining with the hijackers, the police determined that this job became more and more a job for Team Rainbow. The Arrival of the RainbowSix task force marked the beginning of a never-ending fascination for the job this elite unit was doing. The team Rainbow made a very short deal out of this situation, seemed like they did it as a training under realistic preconditions. They did a fast and clean job, nobody died, only 3 of the 5 robber got injured, they accomplished the hostage rescue within minutes. They became heroes and idols for Daniel. "I must became like those guys" he thought by himself, and a great career began.

The training begins:

He started training at the COTS, "Covert Ops training school" for young policemen, where the cadets learned their first steps. He decided for his first pseudonym "RedHawkMan" chosen in relation to his preferred secondary weapon, a Ruger Redhawk cal .50 with an installed scope, taken from the weapons-mod BSW 3.0. Within weeks he was totally familiar with the basic techniques of the weapons and the other necessary equipment RS was using at this time. As soon as possible he switched to team Rouge Spear in 2000, together with his colleagues Alexander "Carnage" J. and David "@ja-mamma" ??, the best graduates of the COTS in 1999. They called themselves the CRC - Crazy Redhawk Clan. From that time on, they all were using the Ruger revolver as secondary armament.

CRC is born and gets bigger:

Within shortest time they completed some difficult missions very sovereignly. Because of this success they became their own team, called The Rainbow Six Urban Operations team (RSUO). At this moment, a new man appears Achim V. called the "SeNsEr". Soon they got closer, their team spirit grew and the men became one team. In 2001 they had their first big test.

The first big LAN:

In summer 2001 Team Rouge Spear (Daniel F., Achim V., Alex J., Ingo Z.) were called to a location in southwest Germany near the Ramstein Airbase, about 50km direction east. This whole territory is filled up with military facilities, airfields and other neuralgic military locations. Near the "Donnersberg" (in eng.: Thundermountain) was a nuclear artillery battalion under control of some Libyan terrorists. This situation became a really frightening thread for the whole region and the Team Rainbow division Rouge Spear under direction of team leader RedHawkMan had to bring the whole situation under control.

The first victim:

They built up their HQ near Kirchheimbolanden, a small town nearby the captured US military base Kriegfelden. It became a long and difficult operation, later known as the Black Thorn Operation. Team Rainbow was able to defeat the terrorists, but they paid a high price for that, they lost their comrade Ingo Z.

Time of training and recovery, Jacky appears:

From that summer on, till summer 2002 they only had some smaller operations, and they tried to get some replacement for their lost team-mate . A guy named Christian "Jacky Thrilla" K. appears. Totally inexperienced in fighting fast and precise combats against dominant enemy situations. He was an strategically-trained person, able to analyze special situations having much time to think about. He was working as a staff officer in military services, responsible for planning and strategic command. The so called "Command & Conquer". He seemed to be a totally wrong person to replace the lost comrade. But within just a few months of hard training at the military special forces, the "Ghost Recons", he learned all he needed for this capricious and critical anti terror work. Also "RedHawkMan" and "SeNsEr" joined for this time the "Ghost Recons". SeNsEr's brother Carlosh V. also joined this task force as "BuRnMaN". After the retreat of Ingo Z. and @ja-mamma they became again a powerful and mighty weapon, the second generation of the Crazy Redhawk Clan was starting missions all over the world.

2nd Generation CRC, the 2nd LAN and the Ghost Recon time:

From winter 2001/2002 till summer 2002, they fought as a Ghost Recon unit in Georgia (Europe), Kazakhstan and in North Africa, and they challenged their luck in the Kazakhstan and the Desert Siege campaigns and turned this conflicts into big triumph for the free democratic world. Strengthened by this success in June 2002 they were called to the drug conflict in Cuba, and they fought again for the Ghosts in the Island Thunder Campaign. While they were fighting, Carnage thought about drawing the police and military services. A big accident happened with Carnage, caused by RedHawkMans unfortunate acting with an electronic device that was needed by Carnage to survive the last Rouge Spear missions.

RedHawkMan kills Caranges life-supporting-system:

RedHawkMan committed a dramatic failure. He fabricates a electronic short circuit in Carnages life support system that provokes the whole shutdown of the system, and Carnage took an enormous damage, but he didn’t die. But from this time on, another team-mate got lost. The Crazy Redhawk Clan was reduced to 4 active members: RedHawkMan, SeNsEr, BuRnMaN and Jacky Thrilla.

SeNsEr gets a big inventor:

At the same moment Carnage's system died, SeNsEr became a big inventor. He solved the cooling problems of the new mission direction systems (MDS) by pouring soft drinks (Coke) in a big quantum all over it. The success was overwhelming! Entailing no negative results , the liquid cooled system was born. With such a system, Mission planning was very efficient, just the sparkling of the CO2 in the Coke was disturbing the individual noise feeling.

Raven Shield appears:

In 2003 "Rainbow Six 3 - Ravenshield" appears. From this time on, the Crazy Redhawk Clan changed the whole equipment to bring it up to a higher, more modern level. In the meantime BuRnMaN changed his name to PsYcH0. New challenges were coming over them and they recognized, that Crazy Redhawk Clan was too small with only 4 members. So they started a very successful recruiting campaign in The Netherlands, Germany and at least Scotland. First two young officers from The Netherlands were recruited: Niels "The N Man" M. and Rene "Penalty" v. A. That was a really great scoop and a big luck for the Crazy Redhawk Clan. The N Man is a very skilful engineer and computing technician, same goes Penalty. And both are really good fighters. So CRC spread their horizon and became a more effective group. They also recruited ManOwaR, a powerful fighter from eastern Germany, an older and very skilled man from [SiR]-clan, they recruited Headbanger, also from Germany,, and finally LoW, RedHawkMan';s brother-in-law, another young military-trained man.

New Members and a old co-founder appeared

First of all Jacky Thrilla was glad to have engage an old friend of him Marvin to become a part of the Crazy Redhawk Clan. That was in the end of 2005. It took Marvin quite a while to warm up a little with the other guys, talking lots of English and handle with their gayness-jokes. But at the latest from their last meeting this year he been a real full member of our clan. Marvin is some kind of a shy guy, but not obdurate, I think his biggest problem was our common language they use to talk with each other. But he learned fast that we are all no native English speakers and so he lost all his timidity. Neither has he been an ego-shooter gamer from the beginning. Jacky Thrilla had to teach him how to play a shooter game by giving him Far Cry. He liked this kind of games too, so he started to play shooters. But he still likes  RPGs as well (f. ex.: TES:Oblivion). So that’s the 2nd reason why he needed that much time to feel better in our clan. His skills hadn’t been that good. But now he own like hell!
Even CaRnAgE showed up again in the last few months for a time to time Raven Shield session with his old comrades Hawky and SeNsEr. We all hope that he will join a little more often.

The modern Crazy Redhawk Clan

At least the Crazy Redhawk Clan of today has nine full members, 1 honoured member and actually no apprentices. The clan members are coming from The Netherlands and Germany.
The Crazy Redhawk Clan expanded its activities to games like Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, Battlefield 2. But we never forgot our roots by gaming around with old-school classic games like Ravenshield / Athena Sword which are still great games.

Battlefield 2:

We have had some addicts and statswhores as the game came up in 2005. Nearly the whole clan was addicted in this new ranking system Battlefield has, and so nearly three quarters of the whole bunch stopped every activity in real life for gaming Battlefield 2. We also tried to become a good match squad, but this action was destined to fail from the beginning, because we are a fun clan, a real fun clan, so we can play well for fun, but we are running around like chicken when the game is a match. Some people still dodn’t recognize, that there were several interesting games released in the last few months, but we forgot Manowar to tell about…

Activities beneath gaming and forum-spamming:

Our meetings are taking place continuously in a half year rhythm. But they changed character from “Beat the Bastards” over “Meet the Bastards” to our next meeting in October 2006 in Germany.
In the last 2 years we had a non-PC meeting in the Netherlands called “Meet the Bastards”  in springtime and a LAN-party called “Beat the Bastards” in the colder period of the year. We met in order to get to know one another better, and we all liked this meetings very much, and so it isn’t that melodramatic when I say it became some kind of friendship developed between us all. Even a “girl” like Penalty came to our meeting this year at a Landal ground in The Netherlands. For the first time we were all together. 9 Crazy Redhawks going wild in The Netherlands. See the photos in our Album. Very funny. This year in autumn we’re planning not to have a pure LAN party, because we found out, that we can have a LAN-party every evening at home using the Internet and our headphones to game around with each other. That’s why we planned a second meeting event instead of a pure gaming session. Maybe this is the future of gaming? Who knows.

Still looking for new members

Of course we are still looking for new members, and I think it’s hard for new recruits to fit into this established bunch of guys and it even gets harder day by day, but I’m still hoping, that some people will find their way to our clan for longer than just a few weeks. We’re really unique, doing all that stuff together we are planning, and maybe that’s the biggest problem to get new recruits.

The near future

Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfigher, R6: Vegas, BiA: Hell’s Highway, UT2k7, Enemy Territory or Crysis which game delivers the next big team play modus? We’re still looking forward to a mod like Athena Swords Capture the Enemy which is/was a mod we all had great fun with.  But I think some of us will keep playing Ravenshield from time to time, and we also have particularly fun with BF2-mods like Battleracer, Point of Existence or Project Reality.
